                                                                              Women's Soccer Vs Chemeketa

Undefeated Chemekta girls traveled to SOCC's Home to face off against Lady Lakers on October 28th, 2009. Chemeketa confident with an astonishing 14-0-1 record coming into this game had no idea what was coming to them! Lady Lakers didn't give these girls many breaks.

The game started off fast as Natalie Manning #4 scores her first goal of the season off a free kick. Sarah Smith #10 with the assist drives the ball down the field and Natalie heads the ball over the Chemeketa Keeper to score the first goal in the 8th minute. The score 1-0 Chemeketa's team was not happy. They scored to tie the game at the 19th minute. At halftime the score was 1-1 and Chemeketa looked very nervous as Lady Lakers were giving them one good of a match.

Natalie Manning was playing a spectacular game as she finds her second goal against Chemeketa in the 64th minute. Off a corner kick, the ball lobbed over the 18 yard box and Stephanie Bugli #19 volleys the ball back to the 6-yard line where Natalie Manning kicks the ball in to score to put Lady Lakers ahead 2-1. Unfortunately Lakers were not able to detain the Chemeketa high-rated offense from scoring two more goals. The final score was 3-2 as the Lakers fall very short of giving Chemeketa their first loss of the season.

"I personally thought it was a very fun game to watch. The Laker girls really looked to send Chemeketa girls with their first loss back home. It was a close game and the girls did an awesome job."

                                                                                 Men's Soccer vs. Chemeketa

Men's Soccer had a horrible day against Chemeketa. Chemeketa was coming into this game with a strong 14-0-1 record. They also had the current leading scorer of the league who is hungry for more goals. Men's Soccer had a great game before this one to boost their spirits up against Skagit Valley.

The game began with Current NWAACC Leading Scorer Gustavo Bermudez #8 scores in the 5th minute with a high-powered volley. Three minutes later he scores another goal to make the score 0-2. At the 29th minute a foul is called in the box and Chemeketa recieves a penalty shot. Gustavo takes the penalty and scores his third goal. Jose Sumoza scores the fourth goal in the first half. With the score 0-4 favoring Chemeketa, Lakers couldn't find a way out.

The second half just kept getting worse as Chemeketa scores 4 more goals to end the game at 0-8. Lakers had very few opportunities and didn't play a great game. Lakers will have to forget about this game and focus on Pierce on Saturday
