SOCC Men's Basketball vs. Umpqua 1-9-10
The Lakers had a great game tonight for their season opener. They came into this game with a record of 5-7 during preaseason. The fans sat anxiously for this game and the Lakers delivered a great show. 5 of SOCC's players had double digits. Lee Van Pelt #21 led the team with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Joseph Moquino #3 and Ryan Flinn #32 both had 16 points and Bari Mims finished with 14 points and a team high 6 assists. The Lakers played real well offensively, but defensively they weren't able to stop Umpqua from scoring 2 more points than SOCC to end the game at 83-85 in overtime.
